Haven't had much time to blog lately, and considering it's the off season I haven't put much priority into it. How's everyone doing? Anyone preparing for the upcoming warm weather?
I'll be doing more detailed reviews as the season approaches. I haven't had much money lately because I'm saving for an R1 but as soon as I have that the money will be focused back over to paintball. I still haven't gotten the chance to shoot my Ego since I don't have a tank, can't wait to shoot some ropes and post up the vids!

Your current/past gat?
When a few people started commenting on my Dark Ego post saying they used to have XSV's it made me wonder what everyone else was shooting. Whether you're playing now or were playing in the past, what kind of gun did you sling paint with?
Dark Ego
Between classes I thought I would get a post up just showing you my Dark Ego. I picked it up last fall with a Reloader B, Tadao board, and a CP reg for $100. I've got the stock reg too but I can't put it back on without loctite and I don't have any at the moment, that will come when we get closer to the spring season. It's always been a goal of mine to have an Ego, and this is the one I wanted more than anything back when it came out. The milling is still my favorite of any model year, thanks Warped. Like I mentioned in my other post, I don't have a tank yet so I haven't been able to air her up yet and run some paint through her but I'll post a vid when I finally do. Can't wait!

Reballs
Last month, I ordered a bag of Reballs and they finally arrived today. I threw them in my Reloader B and turned it on. I could tell from the moment it did its priming turn that they didn't work nearly as well as regular paintballs. I hadn't used it in awhile, so I checked the batteries and sure enough they were fine, so it had to be the reballs. I haven't gotten the chance to shoot them yet, but I'll run them through my Dark Ego when I get the chance. I don't have a tank in hydro at the moment, so that's what's holding me back.
Here's a few things I noticed about them:
-They're smooth but slightly tacky compared to regular paintballs.
-They bounce a lot higher when dropped.
-I don't know what they're made out of, but it feels like a slightly squishy dense foam.
-Like I'd read before I bought them, they don't work as well as the real thing in most loaders.
In the comments below, feel free to leave constructive criticism and ideas for future posts.

Rants & Reviews
In addition to important paintball news, I will also be posting my experience with various products and fields, as well as any thoughts I have on certain topics. This will be in an attempt to keep the blog slightly candid.
UMass Paintball
So, I'm a student at UMass Amherst and I'm looking to find a group of people who'd like to either play for fun or get a team together to attend local tournaments in the spring. If you're in the area or are willing to drive a little ways to play, comment on this post and send an e-mail to JSher0@student.umass.edu.
Introduction -- Welcome!
I'd like to start off by welcoming everyone to the new hub for paintball in Central -- and hopefully soon, all of -- Massachusetts! I had actually hoped to start something like this awhile back, and with the inspiration provided from a thread on BodyBuilding.com, it's coming to fruition. Starting now, but becoming more frequent in the spring, I'll be posting up local and large-scale paintball matches being played in Central and Western Massachusetts. Feel free to comment if you're from the area and would like to see something added, or even if you just have a question.
